Whirl is the UK’s number one Foodservice butter alternative brand. Launched in 1967, after realising a customer need in the market, Whirl was developed specifically for the caterer to offer another option when it comes to cooking with butter.
Whirl is a liquid vegetable oil with butter flavouring so it works in the same way as a vegetable oil but still has that much desired buttery taste, without the hassles of butter or margarine. It has all the cooking applications of butter but with added advantages.
Whirl is proven to be lower in saturates and cholesterol than that of butter and also contains high levels of polyunsaturates and monounsaturates which equates to being a lot better for you. Not only is it better for your health, it is also much easier to handle and cook with. It does not spit or scorch and is easily stored, as it doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
Our butter alternative is also extremely cost effective too, as you will find that you need approximately 75% volume of Whirl to that of Butter.
